The Samba (formerly The Sandia) platform bed features a higher-profile, doweled headboard.

The standard height of the slat platform from the floor is 15". To reduce by 3" to the height, choose the 12" option.

Choose Wood:
Red Oak (light stain or dark stain) or Hard White Maple
Slats come in pine.
There is the option to choose Poplar Slats which is a more refined, sturdier wood.
